Head of Quality Control Fashion MATERNITY COVER 12 MONTH Leeds £45,000 - £50,000 Working Hours: Monday Friday flexi working, 1 day working from home Our reputable fashion client are currently looking for an experienced Head of Quality to join their team on a fixed term basis, this role is to cover maternity leave. The position will be responsible for managing the quality control and inspection team across the full range to ensure quality and accurate sizing to maximise demand and minimise returns. Main Responsibilities of the Head of Quality Control To spec, fit and seal all styles in line with critical path dates. To add the branding /labelling to each garment in line with agreed brand definitions Understand the overall reasons for returns and take all possible actions to minimise returns rates. Oversee the inspection of all deliveries. Agree and action any rectification work required. Proactively seek solutions to any rejected deliveries and arrange any rectification work required after gaining approval from the supplier to cover the cost. Keep the buying and merchandise teams fully informed of all issues. Complete the sealing of all styles including first fits, second fits, pre-production samples (as required) in line with critical path deadlines- working with the buyers and designers to ensure the products are in line with expectations. Ensure all comments are passed back to suppliers in a timely manner so as to minimise any potential delays to deliveries. Maintain an up-to-date log of the status on each style. Ensure each garment is packaged and labelled with appropriate branding for both own sales and wholesale customers. Investigate any product groups or styles where the returns rates are a concern and propose all possible actions to minimise returns issues. Utilise all tools available Feefo, customer reasons for returns etc. Support train and develop the team as required. Performing annual team appraisals Ensure consistent and timely ways of working throughout the team. Experience and Skills required Atleast 2-3 years experience within Quality Control Management within the fashion industry Experience of managing a team of QC/QA technicians The individual will have an in-depth understanding of their specific professional areas including garment fit, pattern cutting, and construction you will hold a degree in a related field Be conversant with related IT software Closing date is 07.06.2024 To Apply please follow the application process for the site this job is advertised on.
