NRG are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead a multidisciplinary IT Team, ensuring quality and timely support, maintenance and compliance across their highly innovative and collaborative working environment. This is a managerial role that will oversee various IT functions including both internal and client IT Support, Infrastructure, Networking and Security, organising and scheduling the practical delivery of IT across the company to ensure the business operates at the highest technical level. This role will oversee the management of four individuals focussed on various areas of IT, two of which are at a senior level. This role reports directly to the COO and will have collaboration with key leaders of the business, helping to shape the future of IT. We are looking for candidates with significant experience in leading and delivering complex IT requirements, preferably in software development environments. As well as a strong IT background, we require a confident communicator who is comfortable interacting and influencing across all areas of the business and keen to develop a talented IT team. The Role Working under the guidance of the COO, the Head of IT will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and managing the work of the IT Team. Continuous development and maintenance of IT policies, working with the IT team to ensure compliance. Management of the IT Team, including further training and development of their specialist areas of expertise, ensuring that they are able to further progress their career paths. Brainstorming IT projects with the team, giving support and direction to the individuals whilst encouraging their learning and input. Overall responsibility for projects including planning, raising awareness and obtaining support from key stakeholders through to implementation and handling escalations. Regularly assessing IT related risks to the business, sharing best practice and ensuring that guidance is followed. Lead the IT team to deliver high quality support, developing innovation solutions that meet the needs of the company. Your Experience You will have held an IT Management role with a good understanding and experience of technical IT requirements including Infrastructure (Ideally in Google and Linux), Networking and Security. Experienced in creating, introducing and maintaining complex IT policies. Knowledge of IT security protocols and standards including ISO 27001. Ability to grasp complex technical requirements and work with other business leaders to implement these in the most effective way possible. Ability to inform and motivate across all areas of a business, influencing decision making with best practice and embedding change successfully. Experienced in implementing new processes and ways of working to drive change. Passion for developing people and experience managing a team of IT professionals. Focussed on continuous development of own IT skills and knowledge. Experience working in an ITEL software development environment is beneficial but not essential.

Analyse data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions. Inclusive approach a must Ensure direct reports have SMART objectives which are regularly reviewed. Coach direct reports on best practices and how to efficiently execute operational plans. Creation of development and succession plans within the team You will need to be: Educated to degree level. Proven experience in a Senior operations role within the manufacturing and distribution industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in operations management.
