You will take charge of the end-to-end completion of the month-end close process for various entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your role will also involve balancing inter-company transactions across the group and overseeing the monthly billing process for several countries. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with system migration projects and provide insightful monthly commentary on performance against budget, forecast and prior month. Our client, a rapidly growing PE backed professional services firm are currently looking for an experienced Group Accountant to join their team. This is a brand new role which has been created to work very closely with the Group FD and will primarily be responsible for the following: Producing monthly Management Accounts that are reviewed at Board level to help grow the business Ownership of the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts Overseeing all aspects of Operational Finance including but not limited to Intercompany accounting, Capex, Cashflow Management and the AP and AR process Supporting and mentoring two other team members Deputising for Senior Manager, Group Finance and being a No.2 in the team Drive improvements and efficiencies across the financial reporting framework Review of balance sheet reconciliations and support and implement process improvement Managing relationships with senior stakeholders and providing insights to support decision making Furthermore you will be involved in regular project work and liaising closely with the board to integrate new acquisitions.
