The role holder will be required to Cover a flexible shift pattern. Your new role Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration. Minimum 3 year experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, in view of leading others. First surgical assistant certificate Additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics. ILS. Mentorship qualification Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems. Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations. The department requires skilled and experienced practitioners. What you'll need to succeed To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care. To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department. To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical speciality. Assist in the delivery of patient care. Contribute to quality improvement. Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self. Apply and promote the best evidence-based practice within your own scope of practice. Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly. Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act. Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors. Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrating CHG behaviours in all behaviours. Assemble, check and prepare the appropriate surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures. Your new role To provide pharmaceutical expertise and input into the care of the patients within a CHG hospital. Supporting the pharmacy department to deliver an excellent medicine management service to all customers, supervising the procurement, preparation, dispensing and distribution of medicines. To supervise junior staff members in the delivery of the medicine management service, and, where necessary, to assume responsibility for specialist clinical service. To facilitate the daily running of the pharmacy department, providing a safe and effective medicine management service for all patients, staff, consultants and customers. Provide clinical input with respect to medicine for all patients. Ensure accurate and timely charging. Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks. What you'll need to succeed Degree in Pharmacy, MPharm, B.Sc. or BPharm. Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist. Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice. Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years registration & 2 years within a hospital environment. Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements. Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
