Finance Manager OA is seeking a high-quality Finance Manager to become an integral part of our client's thriving team. This opportunity involves joining a dynamic Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers firm located in Watford, offering a stimulating work environment and ample growth potential. This role requires an experienced finance professional with a strong academic background who can demonstrate technical accounting knowledge, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will report directly to the Finance Principal and ultimately be responsible for the accounting operations of the business. You will need to be ACA/ACCA qualified and have experience in a professional practice. Location: Watford Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm (hybrid following a successful probation/training period). Salary: Remuneration will be dependent on experience Finance Manager - Benefits: Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%) subject to eligibility. Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week's salary. Private Medical Insurance following completion of a 3 month probationary period (this is a taxable benefit). Death In Service scheme cover (4x salary). Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of a 3 month probationary period. Annual Leave will be 25 days per annum (pro rata). 3 days are normally taken at Christmas/New Year. Finance Manager - Key Responsibilities: Producing timely and reliable monthly management information reports for the Finance Principal and the board of management, investigating variances against budgets and providing analysis of differences. Preparing annual budgets, half year and quarterly forecasts all with commentary on risks / opportunities. Ensuring that all financial targets are met. Supporting the Finance Principal and working together with multiple Principals and teams, as necessary, across the firm in order to deliver solutions. Support the Finance Principal to develop, document and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the firm. Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the firm meets its financial and legal obligations. Two direct reports to manage. Finance Manager- Skills and Experience: ACA/ACCA qualified with experience preferably gained in a professional practice. Interpreting, analysing and presenting data in an accurate and commercial manner. Ability to multi-task, to be a strategic thinker and an effective communicator. Strong technical ability. Significant managerial experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise across multiple disciplines internally and externally to the firm.
