CRS are currently assisting our client, a leading supplier of telescopic handlers, rotational telehandlers and heavy lift machines, in sourcing a full time Field Service Engineer / Forklift Engineer who will work remotely in the Glasgow / Edinburgh areas. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer, worked in a forklift repair role previously and located close to the Edinburgh area to provide cover on site to clients. Within this role, the mobile forklift engineer will: Carry out essential maintenance and servicing to hire machinery either at the depot, or to clients on-site. Offer breakdown resolutions and an effective repairs service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. Maintain, service, repair and modify material handling equipment consisting of telescopic, straight mast forklift trucks, and ancillary equipment whilst on customer sites, as directed by management, ensuring the high standard as set by the Company are met consistently. Our ideal candidates will have worked in a similar role previously, with a background in mobile plant products and/or agricultural / mechanical engineering. NVQ or equivalent in plant maintenance or agricultural equipment is highly desired. A full UK driver's licence is also required for all field service positions. You will be the sort of person who can deliver to tight deadlines and work equally well as a team member or on your own. By driving and delivering the collection service you will complete around 80 collections a day, so will require a good geographical knowledge of the Edinburgh area and have the ability to organise your own workload using mobile technology. Ideally, you will possess a clean driving licence and have experience driving 3.5t vehicles.
