Position Overview: As the General Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of construction activities at our water site. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to quality standards, and meeting project deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate construction activities, including excavation, pipe laying, concrete work, and equipment operation, to ensure efficient project execution. Provide leadership and direction to a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, and budget compliance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and delays. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to promote a culture of safety awareness and minimise workplace accidents or incidents. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, optimize resource utilisation, and achieve project objectives. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets contractual specifications and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and material inventory, to facilitate project tracking and reporting. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff, promoting skill development and career advancement within the organization. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in water infrastructure construction projects. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices relevant to water and wastewater systems. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence. Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with construction safety regulations and practices, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
