We are currently recruiting for two Regulatory Specialists to join a Milton Keynes based company, in a 1-year fixed term contract. Overview: The successful candidate will support internal customers including: Customer Service team, Sales reps, Research & Development team, and Quality Assurance team by serving as an expert in assigned areas. You will need to: Interpret regulations, by providing information to address external customer needs. Provide guidance in the development of products to internal customers by accurately maintaining product information databases. You will also support external customers by providing routine or standard technical information in areas of subject matter expertise / core technology. Duties: Maintain up-to-date awareness and knowledge of the principles set forth in the food regulations for assigned core technologies, ingredient categories and associated regulatory agencies. Actively cross-train with others to relieve high volume issues and maintain a balance of workload within the department. Communicate information to appropriate personnel. Actively listen and share information and knowledge with others in an effective and a timely manner whilst ensuring that appropriate information is communicated, received and understood. Demonstrate the technical/functional skills required to fulfil the needs of the role and continually develop expertise. You will actively and continuously engage in personal development aimed at improving your current skills and developing additional skills in order to effectively apply expertise internally and externally. Travel on a non-routine basis. Skills Required: Bachelor of Science degree in food science, chemistry or related field or equivalent qualification. 2-3 years' experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry. Strong communication skills in English and one other Western-European language, to be able to actively listen and share information and knowledge with others in an effective and a timely manner. Responsibilities To prepare accurate samples for customers as and when they require them. To record, collect and weigh ingredients for the NPD department. To help keep the NPD kitchen clean and tidy. To assist with the development of new products. To assist with the redevelopment of existing products. To assist with presentations to clients. To organise the collection of samples to be sent customer upon their request. To assist in the launch of new products. To record and input data onto NPD documentation. About you A minimum of two years of cooking experience within a fresh food environment A keen interest in learning and advancing within NDP field is essential.
