Fleet & Transport Manager Taskmaster Resources is on the lookout for a Fleet & Transport Manager to be based from our clients Camberley site. DUTIES: To manage and administer all aspects of the company Operator license. Ensure that all DVSA compliance standards as well as companies own compliance standards are adhered to at all times. This includes timely scheduling for PMI, MOT, drivers routine checks, Tachographs among other compliance measures. Ensure all vehicles are maintained and serviced according to Operator Licence requirements. Responsible for managing the company's fleet maintenance and administration of vehicle maintenance documentation systems. This will include taking reasonable cost cutting measure for fleet maintenance like researching for best prices for parts. Manage resources to ensure daily service completion within SLA. Overseeing the scheduling of servicing, MOT, repairs and routine maintenance to minimalize disruption to service continuity. Optimizes resources and continuously reviews the operations to improve profitability and customer service, managing change where necessary. Check current fleet data and update weekly. Issue purchase orders accordingly. Oversee the ordering of spare parts from suppliers while managing budget. General maintenance issues in yard. Forklift service and repairs. Management of camera's and tracker installation. Managing Operator's Licence administration across the Company, ensuring it is kept up-to-date and accurate information is recorded and stored. Ensuring any issues picked up from audits are addressed immediately with no re-occurrence. Managing fuel purchasing across the Account. Managing fleet administration i.e. insurance, health & safety Proactive management of telematics, highlighting and addressing any issues in an accurate and timely manner. Liasing with Principle Operations Manager to implement new policies. Continuously monitor STH and LTH vehicles looking for opportunities to reduce hire costs. PERSON SPECIFICATION CPC National Operators Licence (Haulage). IOSH Managing Safely. You would have substantial fleet management experience in a multi-site environment. Good IT skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with own initiative and meet deadlines. Good knowledge of transport and Driver Regulations. Full UK driving licence and HGV Class 1 or 2 Licence & experience of driving trucks/lorries. A flexible worker, with a positive approach to work. Pay: £48,000 (£24.62ph) Hours: Mon-Fri 40 hour week. Job Summary: As the Fleet Development Manager, you will oversee the engineering operations at one of our client's depots, ensuring the provision of reliable units for operational service in alignment with our client's Train Plan requirements. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring fleet performance, identifying root causes of failure, and implementing solutions to enhance reliability and minimise service disruptions. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Engineering Performance Manager and Alstom to monitor fleet performance, identify failure causes, and implement improvement measures. Negotiate and agree upon performance enhancement actions with Alstom and ROSCOs, including modifications, maintenance quality improvements, and component reliability enhancements. Review VMI changes and work programmes to uphold service delivery, cost-effectiveness, performance, and safety standards. Lead the team of Shift Production Managers, ensuring 24/7 depot operations compliance with fleet availability targets and operational planning. Conduct periodic technical review meetings with Alstom and ROSCOs, and support engineering contract reviews. Manage specialist technical contracts and services within budget limitations set by the Head of Engineering. Oversee safety, environmental, process, and product audits, investigating accidents and incidents as required. Lead and direct staff for fleet maintenance and modification, represent the department at industry meetings, and manage fleet systems and reporting tools. Qualifications and Experience: Chartered Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineer preferred; or equivalent experience with lower qualifications. Proven experience in the Rolling Stock Industry, with experience in T&RS maintenance and repair, including project management. Strong management, communication, and IT literacy skills. Experience in fleet maintenance from an operational depot and conducting audits. Management experience in a passenger transport environment with high safety and security risks. Safety training/certification in relevant areas, including fire safety, risk assessment, incident management, and personal track safety.
