Chemical Finishing Manager Birmingham Salary circa £45,000 Our established and growing client based in Birmingham is looking for a Chemical / Finishing Manager to join their senior management team. The Chemical / Finishing Manager will oversee the chemical and metal finishing processes, ensuring that all safety and environmental regulations are being followed. You will manage the chemical inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials as well as training staff on safety and environmental protocols and conducting quality control tests. There are 2 new finishing plants due to be installed within the next 12 months. You will also have responsibility for the de-burring and polishing departments. Chemical / Finishing Manager Key Responsibilities: Oversee the safe and efficient processing of chemicals and finishing departments in an industrial setting. Supervise and direct the activities of the personnel involved in the production processes, ensuring that all safety and environmental regulations are followed. Provide technical support and oversee the maintenance of production equipment. Efficient utilisation of raw materials to ensure the reduction of waste. Manage the chemical inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials. Manage planned maintenance schedule to limit down time. Chemical / Finishing Manager Skills and Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in a chemical supervisory or management role Knowledge of chemical and metal finishing production processes Knowledge of safety and hazard regulations Ability to develop and implement process improvement initiatives. Print Finisher Leeds 3 Shift Pattern PERMANENT Our client, a growing packaging manufacturer are looking to recruit a number of print finishers to their team. Finishing refers to any process that occurs after a printing material has been printed on a press, and before a printed product is sent to the customer. For label and flexible packaging printing, finishing includes critical steps slitting, rewinding, and inspection. Other processes can include cutting, packaging, sequential numbering and most importantly of all visual quality control. You will take the final printed rolls and performs the final quality control and finishing functions, preparing the roll to Customer Packing Specifications for final shipment to the customer. Key Skills: Good understanding of print, communication skills, good organizational skills. Main responsibilities: Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of finishing equipment (cylindrical / surface / polishing) Carry out routine operator maintenance tasks.
