In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing our technical service offerings, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. As a Developer in our Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing technical service operations supporting data pipelines throughout the Cloud Data Platform. With a focus on problem-solving, adaptability, and analytical skills. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will gain a deep understanding of business imperatives and technical requirements to ensure seamless service delivery. Your role will involve taking ownership of BAU (Business as Usual) service delivery, where you'll leverage your analytical skills to analyse trends, identify key themes, and propose innovative solutions to improve service delivery. You will develop and maintain code for BAU changes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with standards. Furthermore, you will coordinate with DBAs and developers to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and optimize processes. Your involvement in small development projects will allow you to contribute to the full lifecycle from code creation to deployment and support. About you We seek candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn, offering opportunities for growth and development within our team. The essential requirements for this role are: Proficiency in SQL/KQL, including scripting and automation proficiency Experience in data management, with an understanding of data storage and extraction principles. Azure Data Factory (error handling, pipeline triggers), Azure Storage, Azure Synapse and Azure SQL Server. Previous experience in technical service operations or a related field Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and analytical skills.
