Financial Accountant Summary: Our client, a leading company in the defence sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the delivery of financial accounting, cash management, and statutory compliance across the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Reporting Monthly financial reporting including trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet Balance sheet reconciliations, including GRNI, receivables, payables, and inventory Accruals and prepayments Inter-company reconciliation Payroll posting and reconciliation with HR Statutory Reporting Assisting in preparation of UK and Spanish VAT returns Assisting in preparation of annual accounts Assisting in audit requirements Financial Accounting Assist with accounts receivable process including allocation and forecasting of cash receipts, organization of factoring, reporting aging of unpaid invoices, reconciliation to the general ledger, and communication with customers Assist the accounts payable leader in processing payables invoices and supplier statement reconciliations when volume requires Assist in reconciliation, review, and costing of inventory Cost analysis and forecasting Provide support in the preparation of the annual budget Review and reconcile GRNI, including aging Education: Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point Excellent Excel skills including lookup and pivot tables Skills and Qualifications: ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or qualified by demonstrable experience Minimum of 2 years financial accounts exposure Effective verbal and written skills An eye for detail and high level of accuracy Strong time management and organization skills Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines Ability to work independently as well as with teams Mathematical, accounting, data analysis, and data entry aptitude Apply now!
