Responsibilities include: Compile and analyse the Group's Board/Committee Reports building a narrative and recommendation for the committees to opine on. Analyse our management accounts to identify trends within our revenue and cost centres. Focusing on delivering value added outputs and partnering with senior stakeholders. Build a deep understanding of the organisation's industry, business model, and market. Plan, present and align analytics efforts with strategic goals and identify relevant metrics for measuring business performance. Monitor and investigate synergies and opportunities, developing models and scenario analysis to drive business performance. Partnering with our Data Analyst to identify and build a framework of core KPIs, aiming for real time analysis. Aim to reduce time to analyse and present while continually aspiring to improve our financial models and reports to ensure they meet changing business needs. Liaise internally with key staff to update business processes to streamline results coupled with increasing the integrity of the Group's data. Build, manage and report on internal finance team KPIs offering insight into operational indicators. Act as a bridge between financial and non-financial stakeholders, simplifying complex financial information and insights for diverse audiences. Blackwaters are recruiting a Finance Analyst for a division of an international Medical Diagnostics Business near Oxford. This is a fixed term contract to end of 2024, hybrid with 3 days a week in the office. Salary £60,000. The role of the Finance Analyst will provide financial support and comprehensive analysis for critical areas and time- bound processes including annual budget and periodic forecasting. The role will assist in the preparation of diverse financial activities such as reconciliation, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting. The role will collaborate with teams across the business and collect information, build models, offering valuable insights into business dynamics. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver timely month-end results, including cost of revenue, operating expenses, capital expenditure, cost analysis, sales results, and KPIs. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the division. Supports monthly operating expense and head count reviews with cost center heads to discuss variations to budgets/forecast, identifying risk and opportunities as well as to define and implement corrective actions. Liaise with divisions to understand trends, causes of unexpected variance to budget/forecast and provide insightful commentary. Ensure that expenses/costs in assigned areas are properly recognized and recorded timely. Prepares data reconciliation between accounting and FP&A. Assist with financial input for monthly and quarterly corporate reports and flux analysis. Support process to prepare detailed annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts. Qualifications and Skills: At least 3 years of relevant experience in FP&A (preferably in a blue chip manufacturing environment). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively Ability to create and implement reports and analysis from a cube reporting environment. Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate financial matters to non-financial audience. Data analytics and good IT skills - Proficiency in Excel, Power-Point, financial modelling, and analysis applications. Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
