Day to Day of the role: Provide support, care, and teaching to autistic adult learners. Mentor and train new staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge. Deputise for Senior Support Workers and lead group activities. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities to develop learners' knowledge and skills. Implement behaviourally based support strategies to improve learners' quality of life. Assist with personal care tasks, promoting hygiene and independence. Facilitate participation in social, leisure, and educational activities within the community. Support learners in accessing work experience and employment opportunities. Monitor and track learners' progress, adapting support strategies as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: A valid driver's licence or access to transportation due to the centre's location. Professional experience in adult care. Completion of the Care Certificate. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Experience working with adults who exhibit challenging behaviour. Cleaning and Facilities Assistant required for a client in Surrey. Role summary The Cleaning and Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming and safe environment for all the pupils, staff and visitors here at our centre. Key responsibilities will include carrying out routine and one-off cleaning tasks, conducting Health and Safety checks, organising classroom resources, replenishment and ordering of supplies and acting as a point of contact and host for suppliers and deliveries. How will you contribute to the team? Completing regular and one-off cleaning tasks to a high standard across all areas of the trust (With a specific focus on the school) Cleaning communal areas and specialist classrooms ensuring they are fit for purpose and have the resources they need Keeping outdoor areas and playgrounds safe, tidy and clean Carrying out Health & Safety checks and maintaining accurate records Liaising with and hosting contractors to assisting with deliveries and maintenance checks Provide reactive support within classrooms and toilets that requiring immediate cleaning after toileting accidents and incidents than may involve bodily fluidsWhat will you need? Experience of undertaking a range of general cleaning duties The desire to work flexibly using your own initiative with minimal supervision The ability to perform tasks of a physical nature including twisting and stooping A strong team player Experience of keeping accurate records and reports The ability to work in a pressured environment and prioritise tasks effectively Knowledge of Manual Handling and Health & Safety regulations Computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel Some experience of working in a SEND setting would be an advantage Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 07.30am to 11.30am
