Finance Assistant Temporary until September Location: Please provide location Job Type: Full-time Salary: £12.00 per hour We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support our finance department in delivering the statutory audit within agreed timescales and to provide essential support to the financial account team. This role is ideal for someone with a high level of numerical and verbal reasoning, who is confident in communicating and has a knack for problem-solving. Day to Day of the role: Assist with month and year-end cycles as directed. Provide support during accounts preparation and external audit. Act as an audit contact for the statutory audit process, collating audit evidence and ensuring audit requests are delivered promptly. Create and input nominal and fixed asset journals as required. Support the reconciliation of balance sheet codes on a monthly basis, liaising with teams across Finance to investigate and address variances. Conduct testing on new developments in the Finance System, including interfaces with other systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant finance competence. A high level of numerical and verbal reasoning. Confident and articulate communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Ability to explore issues thoroughly to establish all facts, seeking clarification promptly. Good relationship management and partnership working skills, with an ability to actively listen.
