Finance Manager (PT 25 hours per week), £60,000-70,000 (pro rata), Remote We are working exclusively with a PE backed software business, looking to make their first permanent finance hire to run the day-to-day accounts for the team. As the sole Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all transactional finance and bookkeeping, as well as preparing management information and reporting to the Board. This will be a varied and hands on role, and works closely with the CEO, along with a part time Finance Director. This is an exciting time to join, with a clear 5-year plan for the business and plenty of project work to take on. We are looking for candidates who are available to work 5 days a week on shortened hours, which offers plenty of flexibility for returning to work parents, or those with other personal commitments that prevent them committing to a full-time position and is fully remote. Your Role Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy. Process customer renewals and supplier hardware renewals and ensure timely billing or customers. Take responsibility to manage the overall process and escalate to the CEO where required. Utilise Xero accounting software to perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks efficiently. Ensure the seamless integration of financial data with Xero, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records. Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses. Ensure timely and accurate entry of financial data into the accounting system. Generate regular financial reports using Xero to provide insights into the organization's financial health to facilitate accurate reporting to the Board of Directors. Prepare month-end and year-end financial information for review by the Finance Director. Stay updated on accounting principles and industry regulations to ensure compliance. Maintain organised and well-documented financial records for audit purposes. Lead the annual audit process with support from the Finance Director Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather relevant financial information. Communicate effectively with team members to address inquiries and provide financial insights.
