Finance Assistant £26,118.27 a year Stoke, Stoke-on-Trent / Hybrid Working - Agile Hours per week 35 Contract type Fixed Term 12 months Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to support their day-to-day transactions, including bank, rent, sales ledger transactions plus periodic insurance claims processing. Job requirements: Processing daily bank transactions including housing benefits and Allpay. Processing customer rent transactions on a daily and weekly. Raising sales invoices on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Preparing monthly bank reconciliations for group companies. Preparing monthly sales ledger reconciliations for group companies. Preparing weekly cash receipts for bank lodgements. Processing insurance claims and prepare claims reconciliations. What they're looking for: Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Sales Ledger Assistant or similar role for at least two years is essential. Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Basic MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions). Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Open Accounts or similar accounting software is desirable). Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors. Educated to a GCSE level and pursuing the AAT or similar qualification. Good communication skills.
