Your new role The main purpose of this role will be to oversee a team of 7-8 Finance Business Partners and ensure the delivery of key financial information for senior leadership. You will be responsible for understanding the financial performance of various business units and working with senior leadership to identify areas of opportunity and risk, as well as the impact of transformation project activity. You will provide consolidated actuals and forecasts and draw actionable business insights. You will present back to key stakeholders on various cost bases and highlight key insights. You will take ownership of the development of the team and champion a strong performance culture, encouraging them to challenge the business where needed. In addition to this, there will be significant involvement in the development of various transformation and improvement projects across the organisation. This will be supported by another member of the team, but you will be expected to identify areas that can be streamlined and deliver great value. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week between Monday and Friday. Hybrid working is on offer for 50% of the time and the exact working pattern can be flexible for the right individual. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant and have significant experience working in a large and complex business. You will have excellent leadership skills and strong stakeholder management experience. You will be commercially minded and have an ability to identify what is important, while being able to challenge where needed. Your new role This role reports to a Senior Finance Manager and supports the business by providing financial information to key stakeholders that can help improve efficiency, and support commercial decision-making. This role will be very visible and operate across a number of divisions, so you will support functions that may not necessarily have a financial focus. You will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely MI is provided and provide commentary and guidance on the best course of action and differing scenarios. You will be an advocate for positive change and support a culture of cost discipline. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally be a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to complete your studies. You will have experience in large complex organisations and have strong core accounting experience. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with stakeholders and influence decision-making. You will have a strong commercial focus and want to drive cost efficiency. You will have an excellent attitude towards teamwork and collaboration and be able to work with a number of divisions. A background within an accountancy practice or within professional services would be advantageous but not essential. The role offers 50% hybrid working with an office location in central Norwich.
