Project Manager (Finance Industry) London Contact until 31st March 2025 £500 - 580 per day via Umbrella Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join their Change Management Group in the capacity of managing the Client Communications Workstream. This role is based at their London office, with a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days a week in office and 2 days remote. Role Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join their team, focusing initially on the client engagement workstream to create a Universal Bank. This role involves managing specific aspects of projects, reporting to the Project/Programme Manager, and possibly having sole responsibility for certain workstreams. The role requires light supervision, contributing to large-scale, complex projects, and independently managing smaller scale projects using our enterprise project methodology and framework. Key Role and Daily Tasks: Manage and deliver assigned tasks within agreed timeframes. Lead workstreams or SteerCo meetings, ensuring clear communication across multi-disciplinary teams. Maintain project documentation and consult with workstream leads and other key project personnel. Act as a key interface between business end users and the Project/Programme Manager. Identify problems and provide analytics to support recommendations for controls. Contribute to the implementation of approved changes. Independently manage smaller scale projects and ensure timely delivery of benefits. Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge in financial services, markets, and banking activities, and/or the surrounding regulatory framework. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting complex information simply and succinctly. Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and under supervision. Good time management skills, capable of working to deadlines in an ambiguous environment and under pressure. Industry-recognised Project Management qualification preferred but not essential. Familiarity with securities trading businesses and interaction with clients and stakeholders is useful.
