Business Finance Specialist £35K Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm Field based, but with a base in Ongar Business Finance Support Loans/Grants Assessments Funding applications Micro businesses Organised Dynamic Finance Our client is a leader provider of business support and finance in the region, who help to create jobs and grow the local economy. They are now looking to add a Business Finance Specialist to their team, whowill assist with helping businesses apply for funding, as well as assess loan and grant applications. The successful candidate will work with individuals and businesses wishing to start and grow their business and will provide advice to, and understand the needs of those businesses. You will have experience assessing business finance applications and will have previous experience in a commercial/lending environment Duties (include but are not limited to) Provision of business advice and guidance To undertake business needs assessments/diagnostics for businesses, and other organisations, brokering/delivering further support as required Supporting businesses to apply for finance Assessment of loan or grant applications Relationship Management of a portfolio Loan Clients (including mentoring and debt management) Promotion of Finance loan schemes to key influencers who will assist in promoting and developing the loan funds we deliver. Undertake networking to raise awareness of LDBG services; attending events and business exhibitions; undertaking presentations to promote the service offer including advice, training, events, membership, finance and new services Provide support to the Senior Management Team in attending events (inc. Chamber, networking and Exhibitions) To support continual process and service improvement To populate and update all relevant CRMs and Portals used To undertake such other tasks as considered appropriate by your Line Manager or Chief Executive Person Specification Working with and providing advice to, and understanding the needs of, businesses (of different sizes and sectors) and stakeholders Assessing business finance applications Previous experience in a commercial/lending environment Business support/enquiry handling background The ability to work as part of a team, but also self-motivated to work alone in a peripatetic capacity Ability to work with a range of people including the general public, partners and public sector colleagues. Ability to assimilate new information readily and to apply it practically The ability to work to deadlines, with good time management and efficient work patterns.
