Our client is a well established and successful manufacturing business with a small and friendly team. As a finance manager you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks. You will also need to ensure all group finance requests/reports are completed in line with guidance. Skills Required Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent IT skills (SAP experience desirable) Hold relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Significant technical knowledge and experience in accountancy. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience of managing other people. Key Duties: Preparation of monthly reports to group and local management. Reconciliation of various accounts (inventory, fixed assets etc.) Other monthly and quarterly finance reports (Balance sheet, Cash reports, KPI figures) Preparation of annual and semi-annual P&L report packages Cashflow monitoring and forecasting. VAT reports Preparation of budgets Preparation of statutory accounts Liaising with external auditors Back-up on payroll and accounts payable Approval of rebate credit notes. Take part in the appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post and to enhance personal development. Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety always ensuring that you comply with company policies and procedures. Any other relevant task that is required Ensure reports as stipulated by group finance are submitted in-line with Reporting target dates. Ensure VAT Returns are submitted in line with HMRC deadlines. Ensure that information is provided to the external auditors in line with agreed deadlines. Full or part time will be considered, from 3-5 days.
