Chief Finance Officer - Automotive Leasing/Fleet Management and Mobility Solutions This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial CFO to work for this well-established leader in the automotive leasing, fleet management and mobility solutions sector. Based in the South of England, this high-profile management board role (hybrid/3 days in the office) offers a highly competitive package and excellent progression prospects. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the Finance, IT, Corporate Planning, Legal and Risk & Compliance functions of the company and plays a key role in supporting the business strategy and plans. This is an integral role within the organisation, leading on all aspects of the UK's finances, including developing and managing short and mid-term financial plans, as well as the efficient running of IT systems and adherence to UK and Corporate Compliance and Risk frameworks. A key requirement is to support the CEO and work with colleagues across the company to deliver its strategy and growth aspirations. What you'll be doing: As Management Board member, you will be a member of the Leadership Team tasked to drive the short and mid-term performance, with particular focus to drive financial performance to reach business targets. Lead all finance related aspects of the business supported by the Finance Director. This includes financial and budgetary control and analysis, finance operations including invoicing, payments, and credit control as well as pricing and credit underwriting. Develop and manage the UK Treasury Strategy to ensure funds are always available at the optimal cost, supported by the company's shared service provider Lead annual budgeting and planning process. Support CEO to gain formal approval of business strategy and plans from Europe. Lead IT Strategy and IT Operations of UK business. This includes IT Operations, Business Intelligence, IT Security & Systems Development. Lead Legal & Compliance framework supported by General Counsel, ensuring the company is compliant with UK compliance standards, including FCA as well as adhering to global & regional guidelines. Responsible for overall Risk Management Framework & Policy, ensuring an appropriate balance of sales, profit and risk and operates within corporate risk guidelines and KRIs. Ensure adherence to Europe's Corporate Governance, including SOX, accurate head office reporting and product approvals. Lead IT Strategy and IT Operations. This includes IT Operations, Business Intelligence, IT Security & Systems Development. Share business model with other markets in Europe, focusing on revenue opportunities through Multi-Brand Leasing and Mobility products & services. Develop an understanding of wider business including Sales and Operations to support CEO succession planning. Key Experience & Skills: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) Articulate with strong presentation skills. Advanced Excel skills. Exposure to a regulated control environment, ideally financial services. Previous experience of working within a Fleet Management / Leasing automotive environment Attributes & Behaviours: Ability to work across a number of disciplines simultaneously. Proactive approach to problem solving to ensure the business achieves sustainable profitability by growing revenue and managing operating cost. You will manage a mixed residential portfolio offering variety and challenge, working closely with developers managing large estates with phased handovers, and RMC directors managing blocks of all sizes. Monitor the services in line with the service level agreement with contractors and the terms of the lease, changing providers were required. Construct the appropriate budget, in line with broad principles to provide the key services for the customers Monitor the collection of service charge to ensure the appropriate work can be funded and that credit control services are utilised when required. Manage any conflict where debtors are present due to PM performance. Respond to all referrals from the customer service teams for action within 48 hours of receipt Manage and carry out the meetings with the RMC Directors, Residents association, developers etc in line with the service level agreement and statutory requirements. This should be an opportunity to promote the services of RMG, outline work to date and agree requirements for the site in the next period in addition to outlining the financial details. Support the Sales team by attending meeting with prospective new clients to promote our services and liaise closely at the hand-over of new business. Ensure fully aware of Compliance, Health & Safety and M & E requirements of Residential Management and the sites they manage are fully compliant. For example, ensure that full insurance details are maintained on the appropriate systems. Thorough knowledge of the risks associated with the work of the area under management and responsible for the exercise of effective control through the monitoring of Key Risk Indicators. Able to identify new risks emerging and responsible for staff awareness of risks and the mechanism for reporting new risks and/or incidents which could bring detriment to the business, members of staff or to customers. Maintain key relationships required to manage the sites both internally and externally. For example, Finance support to produce accounts to the site, sales teams to manage customer expectations and reduce referrals to the customer support team. Fully aware of all associated documents, and legal framework to carry out meetings, and perform core duties in residential property management. What are we looking for? A good understanding of the accounts required and the accounting processes. Produce annual budgets for the portfolio and agree with clients. Regularly review the financial position of each property in particular expenditure vs. budget etc. Interpretation of the lease is key; ensure the team are working within the terms of the lease at all times. Possess an awareness of all associated legislation and keep abreast of any changes and how they might have an impact on working procedures. Ensure that all internal and external service levels are being adhered to and any potential problems with these are communicated at the earliest opportunity.
