Are you already an experienced Field Service Engineer/Technician who is already servicing analytical equipment such as TOC, pH meters, auto-titrators, thermal analysis instruments, gas analysers, melting point/dropping point, UV-vis, density/refractometry, inline process sensors or similar analytical chemistry/process equipment? ... OR are you an experienced Chemist/Analyst/Technician with experience troubleshooting the above types of equipment who is motivated to become a field-based service engineer? ... You will be responsible for a very compact Yorkshire territory and a wide variety of exciting clients spanning sectors such as Food, Breweries, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals and more! The requirements of the Field Service Technician - Analytical Instruments: Ideally you will have recent experience as a field-based engineer/technician servicing analytical equipment such as pH meters, auto-Titrators, thermal analysis instruments, melting point/dropping point, UV-vis, density/refractometry and inline process sensors You could also be a hands-on Chemist/Analyst/Lab Technician who loves troubleshooting/calibrating the above types of equipment and know that a career in field service is exactly what YOU want! A good understanding of the principles, techniques and instruments used for thermal analysis is a particular need for this role / location An understanding of the principles of Chemistry, Degree/HNC in Chemistry preferred Knowledge of GMP procedures and best practices Valid, clean UK driving license Ability to travel in the UK and willingness to attend training in EU or USA The responsibilities of the Field Service Technician - Analytical Instruments: Duties include Fault diagnosis, repair, routine servicing, certification, and installation of equipment in accordance with GMP guidelines Circa 80% of your time will be spent on pre-planned maintenance visits and circa 20% will be breakdown support which will enable you to manage your time efficiently Customer facing role; you will be representing the company and will assist the customer to achieve the best performance from their instruments Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic growing team Use your good administration skills with excellent attention to detail which is vitally important due to the high levels of validatory requirements in our client's businesses Complete and submit paperwork in a timely manner Maintain, manage, and administer allocated company stock to a sustainable level and with monthly stock checks Benefits: Attractive & Negotiable Base Salary DOE Up to £2,500 Yearly Bonus Sales Incentives (Potential to earn up to an extra £1,000 each month!)
