I have an exciting opportunity for a Footwear Design Manager with a passion for athleisure shoes to join a global Lifestyle brand. As a commercially savvy Footwear Design Manager you will have first-hand experience designing Women's and Kid's sports shoes. You will join a busy Product team and be key as the brand continues to grow globally. You will have worked within footwear previously and have a strong interest in athleisure shoes. Daily creating sketches and style information for various categories of sports shoes, including Women's and Kid's designs in line with the brands aesthetic. Expertise that lies in developing illustrations and technical drawings to a high quality and technical level, alongside creating colour CADS and technical specs for all styles that are passed to factories. You will excel in creating tech packs and comprehending design blueprints, ensuring each sample is developed to its fullest potential in collaboration with the Product Development team. You will have a strong understanding of last creation, construction, and fit considerations, supporting on the fitting of samples from an aesthetic standpoint. Working to align all collections with the product direction set by the Design Director, incorporating a clear identity into the designs, colours, and materials. You will actively participate in market research to identify latest trends, competition, and customer expectations. Lead a dynamic team of designers, focusing on innovative design solutions. Developing new materials, processes, and construction methods, ensuring our designs are at the forefront of industry trends. Working closely with the Product Manager to ensure their design range plan is executed. The successful candidate will be well-established, with experience in the activewear category working with different textiles coupled with a feminine but sporty handwriting and strong hand-sketching skills. Competent Adobe Suite skills and CAD. This is a permanent role paying a competitive salary (bonus, pension, healthcare). Working hybrid in their central London office.
