Role overview As a Retail Optical Assistant at Vision Express, you'll assist our customers in finding and selecting eyewear that meets their needs. You'll help with frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings. Additionally, you may perform some pre-screening eye examinations and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, supporting the phone lines from customer queries and processing payments. Overall, your goal is to provide excellent customer service and ensure that our customers leave happy, with eyewear that fits properly and meets their vision needs. You'll play a key part in our mission of helping our customers to See More and Be More' by providing tailored and effective service, to help customers maximise their visual potential and enhance their lifestyle. You will be working closely with the team Buyer, sourcing and purchasing products and onboarding suppliers. This is a full time, permanent position working 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday based in Norwich, and is offering a competitive salary, depending on experience. The day to day Analysing market trends and company activity to ensure effective sales potential and optimising buying strategy. Supporting the Buyer, managing internal and external communications, maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. Negotiating pricing with key suppliers. Ensuring products are safety compliant, and are merchandised within company and brand guidelines. Providing administrative support to the department, and assisting with marketing strategies and other ad-hoc requirements. You will have/be At least two years' experience in a Supply Chain role or equivalent. Strong communication and administration skills. Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure and with own initiative. Self-motivated and adaptable nature.
