To work alongside social workers in assessing the levels of need of children and young people, their families and carers and identifying appropriate plans and services to support them.
To carry out specific pieces of work identified as part of a plan to support children/young people and their families.
We are seeking a dedicated Children Support Worker to join our team.
The role involves providing advice, assistance, and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare, and attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs.
The ideal candidate will act as an appropriate role model and work closely with young people to help them address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.

We are currently looking to expand our North East teams, you could be asked to work anywhere in the North East, such as Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle or Middlesborough, as well as others.
Due to this, you must be comfortable with travelling and working away from home.
Our Workers will be expected to provide knowledge, experience, assistance & support to maintain a safe & stable family environment, with the well-being of our Young People at heart.
We are aiming to speak with skilled & experienced Support Workers for children and young people, ready & able to assist with a varied load case, all with varied complexities.
The Children or Young person may be subjected to some/all of the below risk factors:
Provide social work services to children in need and their families in accordance with the principles of the Children Act Undertake enquiries and assessments of children who are considered to have possible suffered or who may be likely to suffer significant harm.
Make applications with the appropriate management and legal advice for Orders to safeguard children under the Children Act Work in partnership with service users in a variety of settings and any other suitable setting for social work practice.
Prepare written reports of a professional standard for use in a variety of settings, including Court proceedings.
The Social Work Assistant will facilitate support groups, be part of the duty rota, and will be involved in assessing and working directly with families needing support, offering parenting advice and guidance, and signposting families to other services where appropriate.
The successful candidate will work alongside Social Workers to provide advice and practical support to children and young people who are deemed "in need" under the Children Act 1989 or identified as in need of support.
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Social Work Assistant to work in statutory area fieldwork and children with disability teams.
