We are looking to recruit a Factory Labourer to work within a manufacturing facility in Birtley. The role involves: Supporting the manufacturing team with the preparation of materials Measuring out materials in preparation for manufacturing Use of Manual Handling Equipment for the movement of raw materials (manually and with the use of FLT) Following specific instructions for different types of products Working to daily targets This does require manually lifting so applicants must be physically fit. There will also be a requirement to use a Fork Lift Truck, training will be provided. The role will involve working on a three shift pattern 6.00am-2.00pm, Monday to Friday 2.00pm-10.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00pm-6.00am Sunday to Thursday. You will also be required to work Saturday when you are on the 6.00am-2.00pm shift. (One in every 3 weeks) This is a permanent position with a Salary of £28,292.36 this includes all shift allowances. About the role Sytner Group is looking for a motivated and committed warehouse operative to join our busy parts team at Mercedes Newcastle. You will demonstrate a 'One Team' approach, and communicate effectively with the team, ensuring that all requests are dealt with promptly, and support and assist colleagues with parts identification and distribution. You will also ensure that the parts stock room is well maintained. The individual will be expected too: Help and support with Goods In, ensuring, where necessary, that parts are free of damage and are located accurately within their respective bin location The role will require the accurate picking of parts relating to customer orders and in a timely manor The role will also require some quality control responsibilities that ensure that all parts linked to customer orders are in perfect condition and this includes all packaging. You must report nil-picks as soon as they occur You will be required to support all Parts Department stock check activities You will be required to follow all Health & Safety requirements at all times About you Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role related to picking/packing and distribution and be IT literate.
