Community Fundraiser We are looking for a proactive Community Fundraiser to engage individuals in local communities to maximise income generation by developing and maintaining relationships. Position: Community Fundraiser Location: Cambridge /hybrid Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent About the Role: As Community Fundraiser you will be a proactive member of the fundraising team and responsible for steward relations with Individual fundraisers, schools, and community groups, in memory and challenge eventers. You will support fundraisers who want to make a difference, which is central to the charity's fundraising strategy. Whilst community fundraising incorporates various income streams, you will be tasked and targeted to generate income from a specific area which may vary over time. Ultimately, you'll be playing a crucial role in helping to ensure that the greatest number of people are having the greatest impact to make things even better. About You: As a Community Fundraiser you will have experience in managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines and have experience of working in a similar fundraising role within a charity or not-for-profit organisation. Main responsibilities: Work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and Head of Community Fundraising to support the implementation of the region-wide Fundraising Strategy. Plan and deliver effective, exciting, and appropriate fundraising activities. Attend fundraising and other events as required across the 6 counties in the East of England. This will involve some weekend and evening work along with traveling and transporting event materials. Develop and nurture relationships with fundraisers, with the aim of maximising the funds they raise. Work closely with colleagues to involve them in building relationships with supporters and in fundraising activities as required. Achieve agreed income targets and plan and monitor the allocation of the budget in conjunction with the senior leadership team. Record data accurately using Donorfy database. Devise and implement a communications plan to promote fundraising initiatives in the region, working with the Communications Team. Provide content for the organisation's communications channels, e.g., newsletters, e-newsletters, impact magazine, appeals and social media. To participate in team meetings, planning and any corporate development activities and initiatives as may be identified from time to time. Ability to work unsupervised whilst also being a team player. Previous experience of working in a similar fundraising role within a charity or not-for-profit organisation Empathy and understanding with an enthusiastic, positive attitude.
