Vacancy: Teacher of Design & Technology (ECT) Job start date: September 2024 (sooner by negotiation) Salary: £25,323 - £46,525 Location: Warrington Contract type: Full time (part time available by negotiation) Prospero Teaching are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic Early Careers Teacher of Design & Technology to join our growing and successful team at a technical college in Warrington. A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate young people are among the qualities they seek. This post is open to both experienced teachers and those aspiring to become a teacher. They are welcoming applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be provided with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme will offer a range of support and development opportunities, including inductions related to all College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Head of Faculty. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported to complete a L4 Certificate in Education and Training and will have opportunities to complete a L5 Diploma in Education and Training CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Warrington Position - Design and Technology Type of work - Covering classes in absence of a Class Teacher Start date - September 2024 Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Part time Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £120 per day Hours - 8:15 am - 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Recent Graduate, with a 2:1 or higher PGCE in desired role Previous experience working in a UK school Previous experience working in a leadership role Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references covering the last 2 years If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
