Our client is recruiting for a Head Chef to lead and join their exciting new Kitchen operations. The working hours are 07:30am - 04:30pm and the venue serves a delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch offering. The menu is 100% fresh, organic and sustainably sourced, rotating on a 8 week cycle. The chosen candidate will have full autonomy over the menu. There is a small team of 5 to manage and a good core team to service the 70 cover caf. The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience of a similar field to plate venue on their CV. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting directly with the owner to drive the business forward. Our client requires an ideal Head Chef, that is keen to train, coach and mentor their team, evolve the fresh food services, deliver consistent quality menus, daily seasonal specials, innovative food concepts, and further the reputation of the business in the Glasgow marketplace. As the Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible, and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, your food ethos, and also with delivery of fresh concepts developed with the owner. As Head Chef, you must also be someone that not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, health, and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of their area.
