If you've previous experience as a projects/contract engineer and you're looking to move into a role that encompasses more of a lead / management element, this could be the perfect next step for you! No two days in this role would be the same - all of our systems are bespoke, and we do have a full Job Description, but for now this is what a typical week might look like: 1. A day at the Heckmondwike office project managing contracts from start to finish, liaising with customers, suppliers, and installation teams to achieve quality installations on time and to budget. At any one time, you'll be managing from 6-8 ongoing projects. You may be designing on CAD, finalising the contract of a project, completing RAMS. 2. A few days travelling out to a site, liaising with the client to make sure installations run smoothly - this could be in a range of industries from woodwaste to laser cutting, welding to waste management, food processing to textiles. 3. A day liaising with the client and the install team prior to project start, completing the relevant project administration whether that be ordering materials and parts, finalising drawings as well as picking up other elements on your other projects. Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer with extensive experience of Power Electronics to join our project team in Leeds. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components for SubSea Machinery, used primarily for Pipeline Inspection and Repair. Your expertise in electrical engineering and knowledge of various technologies will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of our projects. Duties: - Design and develop electronic systems and components based on project requirements - Support staff engineers (including Junior Engineers) with essential PCB Design and Layouts and also Testing of developed products using a High Voltage Test rig. - The design process is already mature so this will largely be focused on a final few components and knitting together the final designs, extensive testing and design modification work - You will perform system design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection - You will conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems to ensure functionality and performance - Utilize tools such as Altium Designer for system design and analysis Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field- Proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT) assembly techniques- Strong knowledge of Altium or a similar CAD package for schematic capture and PCB layout- Experience with logic controllers and system design- Proficient in programming languages and embedded code such as Python, C, Embedded C would be advantageous- Familiarity with High Voltage (up to 5000V DC) Test Equipment would be advantageous- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis Previous Project Experience on similar electronic equipment for industrial / oil and gas applications would be great.
