Engineering Project Manager Cradley Heath £50k Progressive Engineering and a Capital Process & Machinery Engineering Consultancy are looking to recruit an Engineering Project Manager for their Engineering HQ near Cradley Heath, due to succession planning, significant business growth and project pipeline for 2024-2027. Reporting into the Head of Project Management & Operations Director, the Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the design & delivery of capital process & machinery systems for regulated industries through the full project lifecycle, from Contract Award through design to installation & commission. As the key interface with the Customer and working on multiple global projects at any one time (with project / contract values ranging from £500k up to £40m), the Engineering Project Manager will also be responsible for managing the project budget & financial reporting, as well purchasing & managing sub-contractor activities throughout the project lifecycle. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ROLE IS A STAFF POSITION AND TRAVEL GLOBALLY IS REQUIRED DURING VARIOUS STAGES OF PROJECT LIFECYCLE. Specifically, my client is looking for an Engineering Project Manager with the following: Degree or HNC / HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical etc) Experience of managing full project lifecycle, from management of complete contract from design through to commissioning & acceptance, ensuring satisfactory completion achieving profit margin and schedule. Project experience within a regulated industry background (Heavy Industry, Oil & Gas, PetroChemical, Pharma, Nuclear, Capital Equipment, Aerospace etc) / delivering Capital / Mechanical / Process Projects against Engineering Standards / Codes Experience of working in a Customer-Facing environment, delivering capital projects on-time, to agreed cost & specification Prior experience of managing project budgets, including cost tracking & financial reporting Experience of managing subcontractors / contracts (including procurement) Experience of managing multi-disciplinary project teams (Electrical, Automation & Mechanical Design, Commissioning etc) and subcontractors / sub-contract activities (including Procurement) Experience of managing multiple projects at any one time (Circa 3-4) Competency with Project Software (MS Project, Primavera etc) and ability to read CAD Drawings Understanding of engineering principles such as: Structural steel fabrication, welding, inspection & test Process and Machinery Safety Understanding (EN60204-1, Machinery Directive etc) ATEX Zone and equipment selection understanding Combustion & gas systems (EN746-2) Hydraulics & Pneumatics Piped water / hydrogen / gas systems Fans Electrical Panels build and automation PLC process(Programme Logic Controller) For the successful Engineering Project Manager, a salary of circa £50k is on offer (plus hybrid working) and this Engineering Project Manager role is commutable from Birmingham, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Wolverhampton, Hagley, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Cradley Heath, Wombourne and Halesowen.
