This position is to lead an Engineering Department incorporating new product and process development, process optimization/improvement and environment functions.The jobholder has the responsibility on investments for manufacturing machinery, tooling and other production equipment according to the principle that they have to be based on "right-sizing" to achieve optimal flexibility for minimum investment and to reduce risk of write-off losses due to changes in demand patterns and/or technology, whilst at the same time capitalizing on advantages available from new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Strategic Manager of multiple technologies.
Development and implementation of the necessary systems, procedures and protocols ensuring that they meet and adhere to Quality Management System and Design Control requirements.
The role of Engineering Manager will have the primary responsibility for driving the development of the Engineering capabilities and ensuring quality engineering solutions are provided to our customers.
Rate of pay: £Upto £50k per annum (dependant on experience) plus benefits
Based in East Sussex with occasional secondments to customer locations for installation activities, this hands-on project management position requires a practical ability to be fully successful as physical activities may be required in this position.
