Here's something a bit different! An Assistant Configuration Engineer role! Not many of these around. And to top it all, it's with one of the best Engineering firms in Norwich! As someone who has gained an Engineering based education (HND within Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, for example), you will either have some limited experience within an engineering business and be seeking to expand and develop your career, or you might have been a Design Engineer who is seeking something a little different. Either way, this role will find you dealing with the creation and approval of engineering parts, along with the documentation and Bill Of Materials for release to manufacture, providing configuration control and administrative support to the engineering team, assisting with the company change management process, maintaining product structures and configuration items. You will also be responsible for ensuring all completed work and documentation is completed and assist the engineering manager with any other administration that needs to be carried out. This position will, I think, be perfect for someone that has some engineering experience, someone that is okay with an administrative biased role, someone that might have been in engineering purchasing (perhaps?), and definitely someone that is confident and able to communicate well, as you will be talking to engineers from all departments within the business. Growth, development, career progression and positive working environment, along with a good salary and benefits are all available for the right person.
