Our Client; We are proud to be working alongside a global leader within cold chain solutions who specialise in delivering pharmaceutical products safely using their bespoke packaging solutions, who due to massive growth are looking to appoint a night shift Maintenance Engineer to their growing Engineering/Manufacturing team. The Role; Adhere to all company Health and Safety policies and general Best Practice to ensuring safe work activities are carried out at all times including Risk Assessments. Promptly attend and resolve breakdowns during assigned shift, returning equipment quickly to a useable/serviceable level to meet production, quality, cost and delivery targets. Work with the Facilities Manager to setup preventative and routine maintenance plans and other documentation for all equipment, buildings and facilities. Conduct all assigned preventive and routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment meets operating specification or requirements. Confirm and sustain equipment and process capability Setup training courses and train production staff to perform first line maintenance activities. Mentor production staff in the performance of first line maintenance activities, periodically review staff, highlight deficiencies and retrain. Identify opportunities for the improvement of equipment and facilities, reducing downtime, setup time and cost. Assist management in the introduction and commissioning of new equipment including movement, positioning and the supply of services. Skills & Experience Required; Has ten years' experience in a similar role maintaining equipment in a high-volume, high pressure production environment B-Tec HNC, HND level in an electrical and mechanical engineering subject. 18 th edition wiring regulations Working knowledge of PLC controllers including programming Can read and understand electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings and schematics. Working knowledge of electrical single or 3 phase system. Can fault find on electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. My client For over 20 years, my client, an established and successful UK Manufacturer, have been engaged in New Product Development by co-designing and manufacturing a vast array of fascinating products within multiple vertical markets be it complete box build or one-off component build. The exciting part is you never know what new product innovation will land on your desk that you will be a fundamental part of its development. Through positive change and investment, they now need an Senior Buyer to join an established Sourcing and Procurement team. The leadership is engaging and supportive but as growth happens, we need an experienced buyer someone who is a strong team player, a do-er and someone that can support the Purchasing Manager. The role of Senior Buyer Developing and implementing sourcing and negotiation strategy for plastic and metal commodities. Strategic cost down for chosen commodities. Sourcing, quoting and pricing. Project manage assigned sourcing projects including NPI. Work with Supplier Quality to identify and manage risks within the supply chain. Compiling technical quotations for new customer projects, thus someone with understanding technical drawings. Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers to review delivery, quality, and cost performances. Construct contracts for strategic suppliers, ensuring flow down of terms and conditions from customer contracts. Oversee stock levels for chosen commodities. Act on KPI data in conjunction with Supplier Relationship Manager to implement supplier improvements. Actively use ERP system QX ( experience would be a great advantage) We are open to all levels of Buyer experience but prefer: 3-5 Years buying experience in a manufacturing environment specifically sourcing plastics and metals. Technical background by experience or qualification. Excellent negotiator with a strong presence in internal and external meetings. Team player with a "can-do, will-do" attitude. Whilst this role is advertised as remote, you will be required to work 2-3 days a week in the office based on the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire borders.
