In addition to this, you will play an integral role in delivering a comprehensive, high quality and pro-active educational and operational employee relations advisory and support service to managers and staff within the Trust.

The majority of our contacts are by email & phone and we handle an abundance of queries from line managers across our stores, opticians, support office and logistics divisions.

In addition to this, you will play an integral role in delivering a comprehensive, high quality and pro-active educational and operational employee relations advisory and support service to managers and staff within the Trust.
Provide expert HR advice on employment law, policies, and procedures, managing issues such as sickness absence, grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
Collaborate with Occupational Health, HR, EDI teams, external lawyers, and the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support staff wellbeing during HR processes.
As the Head of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for delivering an operationally focused HR service, providing expert advice and support while managing employee relations cases.
About the Role
You will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to implement business strategies, proactively address challenging situations, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
The Employee Relations (ER) Advisor will provide first line HR advice and support to employees and managers and will be the first point of contact for providing efficient, responsive and reliable advice for all general HR enquires.
The post holder will be required to identify, action, and follow up on queries of an internal and external nature-requiring expertise, knowledge and analysis of any problem and knowing when to escalate to the Senior ER Advisors.
The post holder will have complete autonomy for managing their own time and diary commitments and lead on the management of complex sickness related absence cases for the organisation.
To help promote a good employee relations climate, acting as a point of contact with Trade Union Representatives in appropriate instances.
To provide professional guidance and support to managers on appropriate HR issues including sickness management, redeployment and formal casework including grievance, capability and disciplinary cases escalating when necessary.
Co-ordinate activities including formal panel hearings and training programmes.
