We're looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our client on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, working from home 3 days per week and 2 days in the Northampton office. The role reports to the ER Manager in a team of 4 ER Advisors. Excellent benefits on offer working in a collaborative HR Function with opportunity to earn annual bonus. Role purpose To coach, guide and provide employee relations advice to Line Managers through effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management. This role is focused on coaching to increase the Line Manager's capability and using business policies, processes and advice in strengthening the work culture whilst effectively and fairly managing difficult situations. Advice will be either telephone based or face to face coaching with Senior Manager's for complex/high risk/sensitive cases. Main Accountabilities Coach, guide and provide employee relations advice to Line Managers either on the phone or face to face with Senior Managers in high risk/sensitive or complex cases Effective proactive case management of people related issues to conclusion, such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management (including OH referrals) Act as SME to HRBP in any organisational change e.g. structure changes, TUPE, relocation Provide HR BP insight for case management trends, identifying skills/knowledge gaps, ER Metrics Provide feedback and insight to ER Manager from findings when providing advice, to ensure our policies help our colleagues and Managers in mental, health and financial wellbeing. Support ER manager to update Employee Policies, handbooks, Line Manager Guides and templates following legislative updates, amended ways of working or best practice process changes (internal and external driven) Extract and create MI to share with functions across the business & be confident to present the detail Run workshops to upskill managers on ER topics using the content and framework provided by Vista to ensure consistency in our approach The ideal candidate will possess a CIPD Level 5, and have previous experience of dealing with high level ER Case management. You will have a proven ability in building trusting relationships with stakeholders and managers alike always striving for continuous improvement. Due to the retail nature of our client the working schedule will look like: 39 hours over 5 days Mon-Fri 8am-5 x 4 days and 9am-5 x 1 day Weekend emergency cover 1 in 4 (£50 for whole weekend) £50 per day (bank holiday)
Reed Human Resources are looking to recruit an Employee Relations Advisor on an interim basis. This role is initially for 3 months, possibly longer. Your duties will be as follows: Contribute to the delivery of a high quality and comprehensive People service across the business. Be the first point of contact regarding general queries relating to well-being and people management issues in areas such as absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances & performance capability. Advise on policies and procedures within the employee relations remit, providing advice and ensuring legal compliance whilst also fostering a positive culture. Contribute to the improvement of the People policies and processes. Influence employee relations interventions to resolve people-management issues early with an emphasis on informal resolution and promoting a supportive culture. Support line managers to ensure people issues are managed and resolved effectively, as well as helping to build improved line management capability. Manage a dedicated case load through to a satisfactory completion, balancing best practice with the need to make the right business decisions. Contribute to the preparation of legal submissions and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines. Maintain and develop knowledge on the application, interpretation and monitoring of up-to-date employment legislation, terms and conditions, policies, and procedures, in order to give advice and information to managers and employees. Advise leaders and line managers on implementing effective change management including the writing of robust rationale, effective consultation, and redeployment practices.
