They are looking to recruit a Vocational Employability Tutor to join their expanding team on a full-time basis. This company delivers a range of training programmes in Employability, Construction(CSCS) Customer Service, Warehousing and Mental Health and Well-Being. The responsibilities of the Vocational Employability Tutor To deliver a good quality of education to groups of students To carry out initial assessment activities to identify individual needs, and develop Support Plans, to ensure that students are well-supported and achieve their learning goals To deliver vocational and/or employability qualifications, in line with awarding body requirements To mark, assess and provide constructive feedback on students' vocational and/or employability portfolio evidence To conduct reviews so that the students have a clear understanding of their progress To plan training to meet criteria and standards for vocational and/or employability qualifications, as well as the students' individual needs To deliver engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions, so that students develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) To complete all required documentation in accordance with laid down procedures to meet both contractual and internal requirements To provide excellent Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance and support (including SEND) to students To safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values Qualifications/requirements of the Vocational Employability Tutor Ideally hold a recognised assessor award e.g. TAQA,CAVA, A1 Teaching qualification minimum level 3 e.g. PTLLS, AET Level 2 English and Maths Qualification minimum Experience delivering Employability and Vocational training to 19 Experience delivering Mental Health and Wellbeing, Customer Services, Construction(CSCS) would be highly desirable Please note- an enhanced DBS check is a requirement for this role. Local Education Sector are looking for a highly motivated student focused Employability Coach Pay: £13.00 per hour Location: Isleworth Part time 3 days per week The purpose of the post: To ensure that students have access to high quality, safe and appropriate work experience and placements within relevant and realistic work settings. This includes the delivery of proactive and inspiring preparation sessions, work related activities and engagement with employers to help students prepare for work experience and reflect meaningfully on their skills, experiences and future choices. Main responsibilities are to: Work with the Curriculum Management, Work Placement Coordinator and the Director of Student Experience to organise, monitor and administer work experience/placements to ensure that targets are timely and achieved Establish and develop strong links with local businesses and national employers to source and create opportunities for relevant, appropriate and meaningful work placements and work-related learning activities Collaborate with curriculum departments to understand students' needs and align work placement opportunities with their educational goals Develop and enhance students' employability skills through group or one to one sessions as appropriate and support them in sourcing and preparing for their work experience/placement Liaise with and visit employers in the workplace if required, to ensure all placements are suitable and meet the required standards in line with health and safety, safeguarding and meet other checks e.g. DBS, CSCS cards etc. prior to student undertaking work experience Ensure effective, appropriate and timely communication with students, curriculum, employers and parents (when appropriate) and be the first point of call for resolving any issues arising from students and placement supervisors Utilise College tracking systems (Grofar) and procedures in a timely manner with accurate information to monitor, track and record employer data, workplace assessments, attendance and progress of students in placements Monitor students in placement on an ongoing basis to ensure that appropriate standards around work placement are being met . Monitor and record completed placement hours, attendance levels, evaluations from placements and gather feedback to demonstrate impact and provide accurate and timely data and reports against targets Work collaboratively with curriculum areas and Careers to create, support and engage in the arrangement of employer focused events i.e. presentations, live projects, mock interviews sessions, fairs, trips, workplace visits, mentoring etc. to develop employability skills. Collaborate with Curriculum Management and the Work Placement Officer to continuously improve work placement initiatives, collecting and analysing data to measure success and identify areas for enhancement.
