The postholder will assess the needs of service users and provide/arrange services to support people with a visual impairment to maximise their independence and arrange for the assessment, rehabilitation services and care management of people with a visual Impairment within the framework of Council Policy and relevant legislation.

The role
We are looking for a qualified rehabilitation officer with a Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent, and an understanding of the needs of people with a visual impairment and dual sensory loss.
We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach Tutors to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEN/SEMH so experience in this is required.
The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements.
Successful applicant will also need to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
To complete multi-skilled activities such as: carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, bricklaying and decorating (as applicable) to a high standard and in line with company standards and specification whilst delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
