To liaise with our Qualified Supervisor and provide updates relevant to the EV charge point installations for their projects. Adhere to site specific RAMS. Work to site specific Programmes of Work. Complete NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificates using the NICEIC online portal on a tablet device. Handle all necessary hand over documentation for each project, ensuring it is fed back into the QS/PM. Any other reasonable request in line with this role given by the Qualified Supervisor. Essential Training or Qualifications: A recognised electrical apprenticeship with a minimum 2 years experience or; C&G L3 Electrotechnical Qualification C&G 2382 BS7671: 2018 amended 2022 (18th Edition) C&G 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection and Testing C&G 2919 EV Charging Qualification (or equivalent) Full Clean Driving Licenc JIB registered is a must (Gold Card) Experience with DC chargers ranging from 50kW upwards of 400kW DC Benefits: Company Van Fuel Card 30 days annual leave including public holidays. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Main duties involve replacing cables on the roofs of trams. Working with the Project Management team on site or at depots to deliver projects within the budget and on time. Ensure that all materials/parts, drawings, tooling, fixtures, test equipment are fit for purpose & available prior to commencement of a job. Ensure that investigations and reports on failed / defective components are carried out in line with policies & procedures in a timely manner. First line dealing with complaints made by customers, stepping in and supporting as necessary. Escalating at the earliest opportunity as required via PSE Co-ordinator or Operations Manager. Maintain positive working relationships with current and potential customers in such a manner as to maintain the reputation of the company as a world class supplier of railway equipment and systems. Identify opportunities for improvement during delivery of Service Support work (increased efficiency, decrease throughput time, elimination of waste, etc.) and raise to PSE Co-ordinator or Operations Manager. Implement & participate in 5S methodology wherever possible during on / off-site operations (e.g. customer location work areas, stores and company vans) in conjunction with PSE Co-ordinator and Lead Project Manager as required. Actively participate in group deployment of improvement initiatives. Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering ONC, or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Outstanding technical attributes & an aptitude for fault finding. Significant technical ability in area of expertise (relating to our products). Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation. Ability to train others. Sound IT skills (particularly MS Excel and Laptop/Tablet computers) Ability to compile technical reports. Ability to efficiently organise own work load.
