Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Location: Livingston Salary: £34k - £38k DOE Working Hours: 37hrs per week - You must be able to work Early Shift, Late Shift and Night Shifts Responsibilities As part of a skilled team, this role involves working to both planned and reactive maintenance schedules within the plant. Repairing and maintaining forging presses, furnaces and machine tools. Electrical installations and PAT testing. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for all elements of electrical plant maintenance Experience Applicants must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload. You must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings. Be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces. Have basic IT skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programs to meet statutory requirements is essential. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the engineering team in reaching a higher level of standard. The key responsibilities will include: Install, repair, renew, test and maintain electrical installations as required, meeting all site requirements Inspect, test and issue certification for electrical installations and repairs Carry out planned routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance on site machinery Complete all necessary documentation and ensure it is kept up to date Isolation and de-isolations in accordance with permit to work code of practice Ensure good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas The Successful Applicant: Ideally have experience of working in Manufacturing Time served Electrician Qualified to City & Guilds level or above An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation Knowledge of rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards Highly organised Excellent verbal and written skills Ability to work on own initiative What is on Offer?
