Overview and Responsibilities Unqualified Teacher - Outdoor Education, Location: Leyland, Lancashire Salary: UQT 1-4 (£20,598 to £27,406) Depending on experience and skills Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time Only Veritas Education are recruiting for an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Our pupils are with us because for each of them, the nature of the mainstream provision that they have experienced, has not met their needs. They will have had a very fractured and or traumatic educational journey. We work with them and support them to build back their confidence and self-esteem, thereby re-engaging them in learning socially and academically. Outdoor Eduction This post will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Outdoor Education for Aurora Brooklands School. Teachers are expected to plan, deliver learning, assess progress being made and report on it, and evaluate the quality of delivery so that it can be improved in an on-going way. Activities include: Survival skills, fire lighting, den building, outdoor cooking Exploring wildlife and their natural habitat Walks, trails and orienteering Safety outdoors Team building, team games Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.
