Due to internal promotion of the previous incumbent, we are looking for a Vice Principal to have responsibility for day-to-day curriculum leadership at Carshalton and Merton Colleges, along with responsibility cross Group for developing Inclusive Learning and opportunities for students with learning difficulties and disabilities, and for the oversight of English and Maths. This role will be part of the wider Group Leadership Team, who have collective responsibility for the delivery of the College Vision, Strategic Plan and Objectives, as well as the Annual Operating Plan. You will lead the Group's Inclusive Learning strategy, ensuring effective curriculum development and plans for local and regional partners are achieved, and lead the Group's English and Maths strategy, with a particular focus on 16-18 study programmes, ensuring that target income and contribution levels are achieved for High Needs Students, Additional Learning Support, and in mainstream curriculum areas for which responsible. You will build capacity and capability across the Group to support and strengthen the provision of learning to students with learning difficulties and disabilities through different delivery arrangements and ensure that the curriculum across the Group is further developed to welcome students with learning difficulties and disabilities, and ensure that they achieve and progress into work or further education and/or training. We are looking to appoint an individual who has a strong successful record of leadership in a senior curriculum management role, backed with excellent knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy for students with learning disabilities and disabilities in the FE sector. You'll possess knowledge of the funding for, and provision of learning support for students with additional needs, learning difficulties and disabilities in the FE sector, and have evidence of successfully working with partners, including employers and external agencies, to develop the College curriculum and meet income targets. We would like you to have a proven record in the successful management of change within an organisation and possess a successful and sustained record of developing systems and processes which have resulted in raising quality and standards in learning and teaching for students. You will be able to collaborate within a team, contributing to team development and implementing shared goals, and have good data analysis skills to support performance management and quality improvement.
