As a Quality Inspection Engineer, you will be at the forefront of quality assurance efforts, responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards and be working hands on in the heart of the manufacturing process. Your role will involve: Quality Engineer Leadership: Take the lead in the Quality team, overseeing the first-line management of the dedicated team. Your guidance and expertise will be instrumental in shaping a culture of quality excellence. Parts Inspection and Control: Exercise precise control over the inspection process for all parts received from suppliers. Utilise a range of manual and digital inspection and measuring devices and equipment to uphold exacting quality standards. Non-Conformance Management: As a Quality Engineer, you will initiate and investigate non-conforming parts, raising non-conformance reports, and working closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions and effective countermeasures. This will involve building working relationships with suppliers and communicating with them on the phone as well as some inside visits to understand their processes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that products meet the highest standards Other Responsibilities Include: Collaborating with the Research and Development team on product development, where your expertise as a Quality Engineer will be essential. Working hand in hand with the Production team to address and resolve component quality issues, ensuring a seamless manufacturing process. Are you a detail-oriented Quality Inspector looking for a new opportunity to make a significant impact? We're seeking a Quality Inspector to join this dynamic team at a Salisbury based manufacturing organisation. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in our operation by ensuring the quality of incoming components. Your responsibilities will include: Quality Inspection: Utilise state-of-the-art equipment to conduct thorough inspections of incoming components, delivering high-quality results with precision and accuracy. Non-Conformance Reporting: Efficiently raise and close off non-conformance reports to maintain the integrity of production processes. Sample Inspection: Conduct sample inspections and provide detailed reports to guide decision-making and quality improvements. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will collaborate with suppliers, enhancing your understanding of their processes. Your involvement will be instrumental in fault finding, containment, and countermeasure implementation. You'll also be responsible for processing production returns to our suppliers. Other Duties Include: Raising Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) when required. Collaborating with the Production team to troubleshoot product issues. Updating and controlling technical drawings. Providing technical support to various departments. Identifying off-shelf products to support obsolescence. Maintaining accurate component information in our ERP system. Updating inspection history with new information and images. Adhering to the company's Terms and Conditions. Deputizing for the Quality Supervisor in urgent matters.
