We are looking for Education Training and Employment Coordinator to join our Youth Justice Service for a Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months . The role is based in West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk on a Hybrid contract.You will earn a competitive salary of £32,076 - £38,223 per annum (pro rata if part time) Your Education Training and Employment Coordinator role: We're focused on making a meaningful difference to communities across Suffolk. Responsibilities as our Education Training and Employment Coordinator: As an Education Training and Employment Coordinator within the Suffolk Youth Justice Service, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes, Educational Psychologists, Social Workers, Police Officers, Practitioners, Probation Officers, Speech and Language Therapists, Substance Misuse Workers and Mental Health Professionals. You will work with colleagues across Suffolk County Council to ensure that every child open to our service receives their full entitlement to education and has the opportunity to fulfil their unique potential. You will utilise your communication skills to hear the voice of the child and ensure this is effectively communicated to colleagues and professionals working with the child and their family. As part of your role you will build relationships with local education providers and attend multi-agency meetings to improve and re-establish children's engagement with education, employment and training. What we're looking for in our Education Training and Employment Coordinator: experience working with children and families within education and children's services a positive can do' approach to working with families and partner agencies a willingness to learn and grow within the role, bringing transferable skills that will strengthen and improve the existing skills in the team a minimum of GSCE Maths and English or equivalent, alongside a relevant degree/level 6 qualification or equivalent experience. The team You will sit within the Suffolk Youth Justice Service which is dedicated to changing the lives of young people in Suffolk. We work with children and young people to help them stop offending, fulfil their potential, and go on to lead successful lives. Alongside this we work with victims of youth crime using restorative approaches.
