We are looking for an experienced photo assignments editor, with proven picture judgment, to join our Visual Media Team. You are able to work independently and have advanced knowledge of industry standard photo editing tools including Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, FTP, CMS/DAM systems. You work well under pressure, have extensive news assignment experience, are able to quickly pair photos to stories and are skilled at processing imagery. You are keenly aware of global current events in business, finance and politics and are passionate about bringing in visual elements that will help us continue to evolve our journalism. We're looking for you to join our EMEA photo team where you'll be part of our expanding editorial coverage. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced news environment and pay rigorous attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency. You will be involved in almost every platform that Bloomberg offers. This is a full-time, on-site, staff position, based in London, where you will assign, process and attach imagery for the Bloomberg Terminal, website and global clients. You'll need to have: Minimum of 5 years relevant photo editing experience in a news environment Advanced experience with Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, FTP, CMS/DAM systems High awareness of the current events and decision-makers affecting global markets, economics, geopolitics, companies, government policy and general business Experience assigning photographers to capture the essential elements of what our stories are about The skills necessary to process imagery with speed and accuracy using Bloomberg's proprietary systems, as well as industry standard tools The ability to rapidly interpret text and match with appropriate imagery An eye for detail and awareness of cultural sensitivities to make photo choices that are both accurate and tasteful Familiarity with the legal issues involved with image licensing, permissions and privacy rights Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desire to excel in a fast-paced global environment and meet urgent deadlines We'd love to see: A strategic problem solver International assignment experience Experience working in an "all hands on deck" environment Experience with graphic/web design, html/CSS, multimedia storytelling, Premiere Pro/Final Cut and audio Apply if you think we're a good match. Plan audits e.g., documenting activity flows of the processes to be reviewed, identify risks and the key actual controls in place to mitigate the identified risks and attend meetings with internal stakeholders as and when required. Draft high quality audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking, validate the closure of issues and approve closure of Important issues. Review and provide expert opinions on action plans provided by stakeholders, helping them develop robust remediation plans. Complete all assigned audit work in line with agreed budgets, including ad hoc projects and special investigations. Your skills and experience A Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or equivalent), or equivalent work experience. A professional/industry recognized Risk or Accounting professional qualification e.g. CPA, ACA, FRM, CIA would be an advantage. Audit experience preferred in public accounting or internal audit, focusing on Financial Services - Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, Funding, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, etc. Consideration will also be given to candidates outside audit with strong experience in Treasury / Treasury Risk. Good knowledge of auditing standards and concepts. Good communication skills - communicating with clarity, both orally and in writing Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
