Role: Humanities Teacher - Maternity Cover Location: The Wenlock School, Dudley Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (08:15 - 15:45 except for Monday 16:30) Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum Contract: Fixed Term ending 21.07.2025; Term Time only About the role We require an experienced and qualified secondary Humanities teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school. The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural management skills. An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will have QTS (or equivalent) and experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum condition or pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialisms.
