Dive into creating detailed drawings of custom parts, ensuring everything is perfectly tailored for manufacturing. You'll need to be quick on your feet, drawing up part and assembly drawings that meet BS8888 standards for both internal teams and external customers, while also handling the creation of BOMs and custom manuals. You'll source supplier quotes, ensuring custom parts are budget-friendly and delivered on time. Your knack for negotiation will come in handy here! Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor, assisting in the planning and execution of production. This means making sure that sales orders are fulfilled on time, to the right specifications, and with the best quality. Occasionally, you may also get involved in assembly to review designs and suggest improvements based on real-world manufacturing experiences. What Do You Need to Succeed? A solid understanding of mechanical engineering, especially machined parts, fabricated assemblies, and sheet metalwork. Proficiency in Solidworks 3D CAD or similar is a mustyour detailed manufacturing info needs to be on point! The company works on a wide variety of projects ranging in complexity This role will predominantly be based within Worksop but there will be the need for occasional travel to customers sites.
