Your new role The Grant Funding Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the organisation's internal and external grant funding programmes. This position involves developing and implementing grant strategies, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals, managing the entire grant lifecycle from identification of funding opportunities to monitoring grant outcomes and impact and line management responsibilities. Grant Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute grant funding strategies and processes aligned with the organisation's mission and objectives. Identify and assess potential grant opportunities internally. Collaborate with internal and external teams to prioritise grant initiatives to allocate resources effectively. Involved in ad-hoc projects when required. Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, including grant proposal development, application review, and award management. Establish and maintain grant guidelines, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines. Oversee CSSCs funding schemes including proposal submissions, reviews, and approvals. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the internal primary point of contact for grant applicants and recipients, providing guidance and support throughout the grant process. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders. Collaborate with internal departments to align grant funding with strategic priorities. Budget and Financial Management: Work closely with the finance team to develop grant budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor grant spending and financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary requirements. Prepare financial reports and projections related to grant activities. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that grant programmes comply with all applicable regulations and internal policies. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to grant awards. Prepare regular reports on grant activities, outcomes, and impact for internal stakeholders. Grant Research and Identification: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. Analyse eligibility criteria, application guidelines, and funding priorities to determine alignment with the organisation's goals and initiatives. Proposal Development: Collaborate with subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop compelling grant proposals. Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant narratives that effectively communicate the organisation's mission, programs, and impact. Compile necessary supporting documents, budgetary information, and supplementary materials required for grant submissions. Grant Application Management: Coordinate the grant application process, ensuring timely submission of proposals and compliance with application requirements. Maintain organised records of grant submissions, correspondence, and reporting deadlines. Track the status of grant applications and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders. Compliance and Reporting: Monitor grant agreements, compliance regulations, and reporting requirements to ensure adherence to funder expectations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to track grant expenditure and outcomes. Prepare and submit timely progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation as required by grant agreements What you'll need to succeed Grant management/modelling experience.
