The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately packed according to their temperature sensitivity and special requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is fully accredited on SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and is committed to maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Day to day of the role: Accurately pack products in accordance with their temperature sensitivity, ensuring the product is packed the right way up' and that any dangerous goods/special product requirements are met. Achieve full accreditation on SAP R/3 WMS to fulfil the requirements of the task being performed. Assist with daily inventory checks as required. Follow Housekeeping directives to assist with the maintenance of a safe, clean working environment and ensure stock is clean and undamaged. Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Team Leaders or the Distribution Centre Manager. Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality system procedures, maintain a relevant working knowledge of these procedures, and contribute to their update. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience as a Distribution Centre Operative or similar role. Accreditation or willingness to train on SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Commitment to maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards. Ability to perform physical tasks and lift weights as required. Team player with good communication skills. Flexibility to carry out various tasks as needed. Distribution Office Supervisor (Temporary covering Maternity Leave)Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm Salary £30,000 per annum. Work with the Logistics Manager to generate monthly reporting for the dispatch process to optimise costs and resources and establish KPI's to identify and improvement opportunities. Ensure the smooth running of Export of goods worldwide ensuring compliance with international regulations and preparing necessary documentation such as customs forms and export licences, liaising with freight forwarders and other stakeholders within the business. Work as a full team member by carrying out any other duties which may reasonably be requested of the role. Support with performance related issues with employees, including training, probationary reviews, absence management and formal disciplinary when required. Manage and maintain holiday requests / holiday balances to ensure department is fully staffed to be able to provide optimum service levels. LEVEL OF EDUCATION Good general level of education. Desirable if the candidate holds a Supervisory qualification for example ILM Level 3. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Prior experience of working in a logistics function. Experience of leading a team and demonstratable knowledge and understanding of the skills required to supervise, motivate, and develop teams. Organisational and time management skills and the ability to assess and manage priorities. Communication and interpersonal skills for leading and motivating employees and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Good numeracy skills. Excellent understanding of Logistics processes both UK and Worldwide. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel.
